TERMS GOVERNING THE USE OF RENT A GHOST WRITER BY FREELANCERS
This website, its agents, owners, operators, and employees are hereby referred to as "Website," "Site," "We," "Us," and/or "Our". All freelancers viewing or interacting with this site in ANY way are required to agree with these Terms. If you do not agree with the Terms of this site then you are not authorized to view, interact or use this site in any way. These Terms are subject to change at any time, effective upon notice.
FUNCTION OF RENTAGHOSTWRITER.COM
Rent A Ghost Writer functions as a meeting place for clients - seeking the services of ghost writers for their writing projects - and freelance writers. We are a neutral 3rd party and as such we will not be held responsible for the actions of any person. Under no circumstances will this website be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from anyone’s use of this site. We provide this website on an “as is” basis and grant no warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that your use of this site will be secure, uninterrupted, always available, error-free, or will meet your requirements.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Rent A Ghost Writer reserves the right to remove users who violate these Terms. Any user who violates these Terms will not be eligible for the return of payments held within their Rent A Ghost Writer account.
GHOSTWRITER SERVICES
By signing up as a freelancer of RentAGhostWriter.Com, you agree to offer ghostwriter services to clients who post projects on this site. You also agree to relinquish all rights to ghostwritten work and that all rights for the written work belong exclusively to the client.
DISPLAYING CONTACT INFORMATION
You are prohibited from posting contact information in your profiles or in your bids. This includes all methods of communication, including phone, ICQ, AIM, or MSN Messenger. Contact information with a client will be sent to you by email if you have been chosen for a project. Freelancers can use the message board to send messages to clients. Once you are chosen by a client as a writer for a project, the system will send you their email address or you can communicate with the client via the project message board. You are prohibited from using Rent A Ghost Writer as a method of recruiting or advertising.
DISPLAYING SAMPLES OF YOUR WORK/WRITING
Freelancers may display samples of their work for clients to view by uploading samples in the Private Message Board (PMB).
BIDDING
No bidding is allowed with the intention of negotiating a higher price later. Please use the message board to establish all aspects of the project before bidding. The only grounds for increasing the price of a bid after the project is closed is if extras are added to the project. If this is the case, then a note of this should be mentioned between the freelancer and the client on the project message board.
ADVERTISING
RentAGhostWriter.Com is not an advertising venue. You are prohibited from advertising on RentAGhostWriter.Com. Any URL posted in your bids at Rent A Ghost Writer must relate to the project you are bidding on and must not be used as a method of advertising. Freelancers who want more exposure for themselves may do so by signing up for a Certified Freelancer Status (coming soon).
PAYMENTS/WITHDRAWALS/DEPOSITS
Rent A Ghost Writer will make payments/withdrawals if the member requests it AND their account balance is equal to or greater than $50. To see the forms of payments we accept and offer, please log into your account management area. Additionally, payments are made on Mondays only. All amounts are stated in and all payments will be made in US funds. We verify all deposits. As a result, deposits that you make to your account may take up to 72 hours to appear in your account. If you refuse to send verification information about your account we reserve the right to refund the deposit and terminate your account. Rent A Ghost Writer reserves the right to suspend a withdrawal if the source of the funds is suspected to be fraudulent. Any funds received from an account having made a fraudulent deposit (e.g. stolen credit card) will be reversed immediately. If in a fraudulent payment situation a withdrawal has already been processed, you will be expected to return the funds to your account or face account termination. Rent A Ghost Writer cannot be held liable for deposits reversed without its authorization due to reasons, including, but not limited to, fraud, chargebacks or complaints. As previously stated, any member that we remove from the service due to violation of the and Conditions will receive no credit or payment. Currently there is a $5 fee to process deposits and withdrawals.
ESCROW
Rent A Ghost Writer provides service only as a tool to help members transact more securely. We do not act as an arbitrator between parties, should a dispute arise, except in limited situations. Financial disputes should be resolved between members, or via another third party, and without Rent A Ghost Writer whenever possible. We do, however, reserve the right to cancel an escrow payment, at any time, if we believe we are left with no other option. We also reserve the right to complete an escrow payment if no response is received from the payer, after repeated attempts at contact.
DEPOSIT DISPUTES
Members may not file a complaint with one of our payment processors, regarding the funds deposited into their account. We will do our best to resolve any problem a member may have. Refunds will be processed, if deemed necessary, as soon as possible by a staff at RentAGhostWriter.Com. If a member files a complaint with our payment processors we reserve the right to terminate their account.
SHARING ACCOUNTS
Sharing accounts between more than one member is expressly forbidden - only one account is allowed per person.
POSTING COPYRIGHT MATERIAL
No copyright material can be posted on Rent A Ghost Writer. You are responsible for understanding copyright laws. Any complaints will result in an immediate suspension and, after investigation, may result in account termination. COPYRIGHT INFRINGERS WILL BE REPORTED TO THE COPYRIGHT OWNERS, INCLUDING ALL IP'S, AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION SUBMITTED. We will cooperate with any party who wishes to take legal action against copyright issues. This includes posting of reseller, pirated or third party items that are claimed to be original, and deliberately posting products/services that are deceitful to a posting's requirements.
FREELANCERS CONSISTENTLY RECEIVING POOR REVIEWS
At RentAGhostWriter.Com we try to encourage a high level of standard and quality from writers. Therefore, we reserve the right to suspend the account of any freelance writer who consistently receives poor reviews from clients. Suspended account will remain closed for a period of 4 months and you will be prevented from bidding on any further projects.
MODIFICATIONS OF OUR TERMS
Rent A Ghost Writer reserves the right to modify the Terms and Conditions at any time. Modifications to our terms will be available on this page, so we encourage you to review it from time to time. ANY VIOLATION OF THE ABOVE TERMS MAY RESULT IN HAVING YOUR ACCOUNT TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY WITH ALL ACCOUNT FUNDS BEING FORFEITED.

RentAGhostWriter.Com HAS BEEN ACQUIRED BY NEW MANAGEMENT. PLEASE BARE WITH US WHILE WE INSTALL A NEW SYSTEM. IN THE MEANWHILE, PLEASE AVOID USING THE SYSTEM TO POST PROJECTS, MAKING DEPOSITS, ETC.
